Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check if a Minecraft server is online?

Enter the server's IP address or domain name in the search box above and click "Ping Server". You'll get instant results showing the server's online status, player count, version, and latency.

What is server latency (ping)?

Latency measures the round-trip time for data to travel between our monitoring system and the Minecraft server. Lower latency means a smoother gameplay experience. It is measured in milliseconds (ms).

Do you support both Java and Bedrock servers?

Yes, MC-Status supports both Minecraft Java Edition (default port 25565) and Bedrock Edition (default port 19132) servers. The tool automatically detects the server type.

How often is server data updated?

Server status is checked every 60 seconds. When you ping a server, you get real-time results. Historical data including player counts and uptime is recorded every minute.

Can I add my own server to the listing?

Yes! Click "Add Server" on the servers page, enter your server address, and verify ownership. Once verified, you can customize your listing with a name, description, banner, and website link.

My server is listed and I didn't add it. How do I remove it?

Any visitor can check any server address here, and servers that answer a status request get a listing. If you run the server, you can verify ownership and hide it — that removes it from the catalog and stops all pings. See our server removal page for the full process.
